For the past 18 years we’ve been busy building the world's largest interop library. Along the way, we've accumulated some notable and interesting devices. In this week's blog, we're dusting off the Samsung Galaxy S.

4.0-inch Super AMOLED display (480×800 resolution), delivering vibrant colors and high contrast compared to many LCD screens at the time.
1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 “Hummingbird” processor with PowerVR SGX540 GPU for strong multimedia and gaming performance for its generation.
Android 2.2 (Froyo) at launch, later upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface.
HSPA+ mobile data support marketed as “4G” by T-Mobile, allowing theoretical download speeds up to about 21 Mbps.
5 MP rear camera with autofocus and 720p HD video recording, plus a front-facing VGA camera for video chat.
Wi-Fi hotspot capability, DLNA media sharing, Bluetooth 3.0, and expandable storage via microSD.
One of the early “4G-branded” Android phones on T-Mobile, promoting faster HSPA+ data speeds during the early transition toward higher-speed mobile networks.
Significance
Part of the first-generation Galaxy S family, which helped establish Samsung’s Galaxy line as a flagship competitor to Apple’s iPhone in the smartphone market.
